1977-78, from an antique land, part 5.

The Cover and several pages of From an Antique Land…

Sometime in 1978, I decided to make a book of my experiences.
I called it "From an Antique Land,"
remembering Shelly's poem but with a different purpose than his.
His to note the futility of "mighty" conquests,
mine to note the timeless place from which my images had come.

I gave several slide talks in order to promote the book,
and made collages to provide images for the slides.
