The primary event in my art
for 2003 was the preparation and exhibition for my Retrospective at
the Oakland Museum of California. Although preliminary work had
begun in early 2000, the real push started in December of 2002 with
selection and delivery of work to the Museum, preparing a first draft
of the exhibition layout in order to determine final inclusions in the
show, and writing the catalog essay including a paragraph about each
of the works illustrated in the catalog.
