From Studio Notes, March 2006

March 11, 2006, Montreal.
Night.

◄  #2-v1, March 2006.
Begin the #2 March by using a Chinese brush to write big on the paper
the text I just wrote:

Warning on the box: Don’t read the fine print if you don’t want to eat the food.

Drink from the sweet teat the milk of eternity; suck from dick the cum of time—live and die in the circle of forever.

Use all old paint to tell it so.

Eat fruit of the flower of always.

Cock rises from the horizon of spirit, it falls again into blood and earth.

Oh, sure, we cum spattered on the walls of infinity, we die reborn in the blood of hereafter.

Observation: Tree of Life grows from woman, man is only the proud tower to fall.

March 12, 2006. Montreal.

#2-v2, March 2006.
First, coming into the studio and putting #2-v1 March up on the wall, I see that it is the old “Golden Wings” come back (as if they ever went away).

Second, I could not stand the visual of the writing, nor, for that matter, the sound of the words blaring out at the top of the painting. Nor, could I stand it on the original scrap of paper on which I had first written the text, now pasted at the bottom right of the painting (see left image below).

So, I put in the gold (yellow ochre) bar of heaven, smeared some of the yellow ochre paint from it onto the golden wings, worked some blood into the gold bar itself, and got rid of the writing lower right by developing the form from male into female, the infinite source of us all (see right image below).

April 3, 2006. Lac Ouaureau.
Noon.
And now looking at the final version of #2 March 2006, what I see it means in the reading of the tea leaves and the patterns of the stars is that the whole gestalt says

Warning on the box: Don’t read the fine print if you don’t want to eat the food.

When gold-winged cock rises to golden cunt
--look at that red groove in the gold bar of heaven--
there comes in its core the Seed of The Tree of Life.

And take a look at #7, March 2006 for the proof.
