Scraps 1a-d, June 2005
The desire to make a serious statement
comes from having worked many years in a world of conflict between
building and ruin. After so long in the fields and, toward the end of
your time, the desire to tell others of your harvest comes from your
age and seeing your friends die. You come to know better hurry or your
statement will be lost before it is made. So, in a way, these scraps.
Scrap 1a, June 2005.
Old man, old man, dribble you on to dying?

Scrap 1c, June 2005You just
can't help putting a small drop of white at the center of it--a little
prayer addressed to God... He's all that's left.
